Gossip Girl returns!

The girl crush! Oh, the new season is so predictable and all about Blair with her fairytale wedding but hey, I still like the golden haired girl. Although her hair is getting on my nerves. Get a comb, woman!

I love the sunny quality of the second picture but I am not completely sure about wearing two necklaces. I think I would have skipped the big yellow one.

And seriously, I think she needs a hair stylist. I am bored of the same ol' messy hair or pony or side swept hair. Look at Blair!

Oh so Gossip Girl!

Its been ages since we have had a Gossip Girl sighting or mention and I watched an episode few days back and I think Blair Waldorf (who was always the quintessential princessy girl) triggered off my recent love for everything flirty and feminine. So, I found this cute blog and they have some good pictures but this one caught my eye because I don't remember Blair Waldorf ever wearing trousers. And it is a pleasant change. Love, love, love the combination. Can't wait to try it with my ordinary floral tops and pants. :D

The yellow look is very cute. Heart the chapeau. We've seen Blair do summer-y shades before and they suit here. It is an interesting twist to her staple top and skirt routine.

Everything French and Fabulous

Apologies for the long delays between posts but I have been tres ill and blogging has been put on a hold. But Gossip Girl started last week and how we have been rewarded. Mon amour (plural) Blake Serena Lively and Leighton Blair Meester have not disappointed. And lookie at this picture. How very Hollywood and Mad Men like! Love love Lively. Same for her scorching red appearance at the premiere of The Town in Chanel Haute Couture. Ahh French bliss!

Coming home

Serena van der Woodsen is back home in New York and looks like one elegant camper. I am not too fond of this look though. The belt distracts a lot. I know its supposed to break the pattern but doesn't work for me. Also, since we do not know if she's wearing it to attend a ball or something or she just wants to play dress up. At times I have to admit in Gossip Girl, they do overdress. I am hoping this isn't one of those times. That said, I love the dress.

I know Leighton must be having an off day but how difficult is it to find a t-shirt and jeans that doesn't say 'I am an extra waiting for a chance and I have bad taste in shoes.' Please, just avoid being near a camera when dressed like this, Meester.

As for the above picture, the less said, the better. Abrams in the show is easily the most annoying character of all. She is also very nasal. Her fashion sense keeps fluctuating, she has good days and then she has days as displayed above. Clogs!It's not a happy exclamation mark!And I know frills are in fashion, but the bag is just a sad excuse for a bag. 

Growing up Gossip Girl style

Nothing makes my day than a Gossip Girl spotting and thanks to a concerned BFF, I found my share of joy today. Are we in for a treat or what? It seems Ms Blair Waldorf's taste buds are evolving and how! The hair bands seem to come and go but Oscar de la Renta seems to be a personal favorite in the new season. The red gown looks so classic and elegant that it breaks my heart. Not a fan of the printed dress but the lime green outfit looks more Serena than Blair but she pulls it off. In the second picture, you can see Blake Lively/Serena in the background wearing an outfit we talked about here. Turns out she was wearing Suno pants, Dries Van Noten heels and Fendi 'peekaboo' bag. Run here to see what Blake Lively was wearing in the scene with Meester's red gown. I love Lively's look. Especially the blue pants. Ah, what a promising season it seems to be! 

Of LBDs and LWDs

It's Paris again and its the Chanel haute couture show. Two different ladies, two different looks yet both look amazing. Leighton Meester/Blair Waldorf graced the show in an embellished leather dress from Chanel's pre-fall collection and Louboutin booties. Jessica Alba who continues to have one good sartorial day after the other, looked oh so delicate in a LWD from the brand with a cherry red belt and the Louboutin lace booties just add the edge to an otherwise predictable red pump route.

Another day, Same Paris!

I continue my Gossip Girl streak by posting some new pictures. As the seasons have passed, Blair and Serena have developed individual distinct styles which have become more prominent now. And now that they are in Paris, their style has taken to a different level. Just look at Serena/Blake Lively in the picture. The unique color, the sheer playfulness of the outfit, the irreverence, you know that is what Serena would wear.  While if you scroll down, Blair/Leighton is all dolled up in colorful and clashing Moschino prints. The beret adds the French touch that we know Blair approves of. Headgear is a favorite of Blair as displayed by her head bands. It is essential in every series/film/novel for each character to have its personal style, be it verbal or visual.

Je t'aime Paris

It was a normal boring day until I chanced upon this. Another Gossip Girl spotting!! I say get done with the shooting and start the show already! And they are shooting in Paris. It's not soo far from UK. Oh, how I want to go! The picture is soo Gossip Girl. I mean Leighton Meester aka Blair Waldorf is dressed to the nines in her classy figure hugging dress while Blake Lively who plays carefree and child-like charming Serena is dressed in a more fun, casual manner.

Upper East Side Queen

Well since not many people follow the blog, the motivation to post new stuff everyday is diminishing at rapid speed. Anyhooow, since I am an amateur single person handling this blog, I have to snick stuff off other sites since I can't get pictures. This picture is from HHC and although they think there's too much happening with the flats, the bag, the necklace and the head band screaming for your attention, I think its fine. It's obviously a look based on Blair from Gossip Girls, I like it. The innate Blair-ness of it is what makes it appealing. And how smexy are those flats??
